Despite the artisanal appearance of these serving bowls, they look very refined. This stoneware serving bowl has been finished with a Venetian red glaze and comes in different sizes. These serving bowls are part of the La Mère collection of designer Marie Michielssen.

La Mère, the first ceramic tableware line of Marie Michielssen, is a loving ode to the (grand-)mother figure and women in general. The tableware looks slightly nostalgic but is, in many ways, innovative because of its vertical structure. Each shape is unique and hand-moulded. All pieces are finished with a glaze in broken white or a warm dark brown, almost black. As a third contrasting colour, Marie chose a bold Venetian red. The designer consciously chose these colours to create a mix & match of white with dark brown or red with dark brown. (la mere)
